Our History

We are Elma.

After years of searching, surrogacy allowed us to hold our daughter Elen (and now we're waiting for her little brother/sister).

Along the way, we overcame legal doubts, medical fears, and the vertigo of distance. Experiencing it taught us that accurate information and human support make all the difference.

That's why Elma was created: for families who are going to walk this path to do so calmly and safely.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the gestation process take place?

The pregnancy takes place in the United States , specifically in clinics operating in states with strong surrogacy regulations and top-notch medical teams. This offers double protection:

  • Legal coverage : State legislation provides for surrogacy contracts and the issuance of prenatal orders that recognize parentage before birth.
  • Medical security : accredited laboratories, strict ethical controls, and obstetric monitoring comparable to that of the best maternal-fetal units in the world.

The result is a stable and predictable environment for both the expectant parents and the surrogate mother.

Why do we perform surrogacy in the United States?

The United States is the location where we, and all the families we've supported, have carried out the process. Choosing the same legal and clinical framework we're already familiar with allows us to offer you:

  • Network of trust : doctors and lawyers who have worked with us and meet the highest standards.
  • Cost transparency : detailed budgets without any subsequent “surprises”.
  • Proven results : history of healthy births and documented positive experiences.

In other words, we invite you to follow a path we have already successfully traveled.

Is surrogacy legal for foreigners in the US?

Yes. Intended parents of any nationality can access surrogacy. as long as the process is carried out with all the guarantees:

  1. Gestation contract endorsed by specialized lawyers.
  2. Prenatal order issued by a competent judge declaring parentage before birth.
  3. Correctly subscribed medical coverage and insurance .

By following these steps, your baby's birth and registration will proceed without legal conflicts.

How long does the entire process take?

The complete cycle usually spans between 12 and 18 months , but the exact schedule depends on several factors such as medical-legal evaluation, egg search and surrogate mother, in vitro fertilization, pregnancy and various procedures.

Can I contribute my own genetic material?

Yes. The laboratory can work with:

  • Eggs of the future mother.

  • Sperm of the future father.

Many couples are unaware that both contributions—male and female—are viable and common. Furthermore, if only one partner contributes genetic material, it is possible to use an egg or sperm donor, always ensuring traceability and health.
